知人から「ゴルフマーカーを自分で作れないか」と聞かれたのが始まりでした。市販品は500〜3,000円ほどしますが、「これ！」と思えるデザインがなかなか見つからない。それなら3Dプリンターで作ってみようと挑戦したんです。

マーカーの直径は約25mm。この小さな円の中に収めるデザインとして、花モチーフを選びました。シンプルすぎるとのっぺりするし、複雑すぎると積層で潰れてしまう。そのバランスです。

The idea sparked when a friend asked if I could make a golf marker myself. While commercial markers range from 500 to 3,000 yen, I rarely found a design that truly resonated with me. So, I decided to give it a shot!

Why Choose a Flower Motif?

A golf marker is small, about 25mm in diameter. The design needs to fit within this tiny circle. If it's too simple, it won't stand out; too complex, it'll get muddled. Striking that balance led me to choose a flower motif. I created two patterns: a dahlia-style and a gerbera-style. Both were designed to embed a Swarovski-style rhinestone at the center.

2パターン制作して、どちらも中心にスワロフスキー風のラインストーンを埋め込む設計にしました。石を入れるための凹みをモデリングで作り、接着剤で固定しています。一気にアクセサリーらしい仕上がりになるんです。

積層ピッチは0.1mm。小さい面積に細かいディテールを出すには、ここを妥協しないことが大事。プリント時間は1個あたり約40分です。

ラウンドでの実用性

実際にコースで使ってみたところ、見た目の反応がすごく良かったとのこと。「どこで買ったの？」と聞かれて「自分で作った」と答えると驚かれたそうです。材料費は1個60円ほど。ラインストーン込みでも100円以下で作れるので、プレゼント用にまとめて作るのにも向いているんですよ。

0.1mm Pitch Output

Because markers are small, layer lines can be quite noticeable. This time, I opted for a 0.1mm pitch output. It took longer, but the finish was dramatically better, with each petal distinctly separated. This intricate texture truly highlights its handmade quality.

Using It on the Course

When I actually used it on the golf course, my playing partners asked, "Where did you buy that?" They were surprised when I told them I made it myself! In terms of practicality, it was flawless. I attached a magnet to the back, so it securely clips to my hat. Even after placing it on the grass and getting some mud on it, a quick rinse with water brought it back to new.

Business Potential

There's definitely demand for "original logo markers" produced in small batches for corporate golf tournaments or event giveaways. The material cost per unit is less than 500 yen, meaning a high-profit margin even with a selling price of 3,000 yen.
